8th Amendment cuts through the noise and raises the Debt Ceiling

Hope says "Obama JUST DO IT!  Sign an Executive Order to raise the Debt Ceiling under the US Constitution 8th Amendment - 'nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted'.

Hope exclaims "Crashing the global economy and removing the citizens ability to purchase food, water, clothes, shelter, electricity, communications and all other transactions requiring a currency to complete would strip away the dignity of man and cause massive consequences for global trade and development".

BACKGROUND

Divestiture of the citizenship of a natural born citizen was held in Trop v. Dulles,48 again by a divided Court, to be constitutionally forbidden as a penalty more cruel and “more primitive than torture,” inasmuch as it entailed statelessness or “the total destruction of the individual’s status in organized society.” “The question is whether [a] penalty subjects the individual to a fate forbidden by the principle of civilized treatment guaranteed by the Eighth Amendment.” A punishment must be examined “in light of the basic prohibition against inhuman treatment,” and the Amendment was intended to preserve the “basic concept . . . [of] the dignity of man” by assuring that the power to impose punishment is “exercised within the limits of civilized standards.”49

8th Amendment provides "Simplest and Fastest' solution to Debt Ceiling

"Obama must declare Congress incapable of handling this issue and sign an Executive Order under the 8th Amendment increasing the Debt Ceiling as the Procedural matter iit is. this is the ONLY way to stop the ignorant and self-serving from crashing the global economy". 

‎"Congressional ignorance, if not averted, will indeed increase the suffering of US citizens unable to receive pay, social benefits, pensions, service and any financial transaction including the purchase of food, goods and services will cause mass havoc in the USA and around the world" Hope explains.

"It's not just every American will suffer every global citizen will suffer. The currencies are pegged to the dollar. Oil and Gas is traded in dollars so are commodities. The $3 trillion surplus Forex that China is holding will be worthless..the cascading effect of a default will end the economy as we know it..we will return to barter and most global supply chains will grind to a halt" she explains.

Hope remembers Asia "For those of us in Asia in 1997 we witnessed Malaysia's capital being withdrawn overnight and it collapsed the Asian economy...14 years on every financial system is MORE connected and inter-dependant so the cascade will be faster and indeed it will be a 'cruel and unusual punishment'." 

The Founding Fathers signed the 8th Amendment in 1791 to ensure that Congress took "We the People" into account for every decision that affected them. Now President Obama must be the first world leader to use the 8th Amendment to protect EVERY global citizen.
