#Executive Order #Barack Obama #Foreign Policy #Economic Stimulus #Poverty Alleviation
# Public Private Partnership #Ambassador Hope #Twitter #Africa #Orphans #Green Technology #Sustainability

For this profound equation; the total is definitely greater than the sum of the parts! The first Executive Order in the history the US to be signed by President Obama flying on Air Force One and transmitted from his Blackberry via Twitter to Ambassador Hope’s Blackberry on the ground on June 4th 2009.

Social media technology comes of age for the White House on Day 134 of the 111th Congress. It is fitting that more than 30 million will be Twittering about this particular Executive Order as it will blast American Foreign Policy into the 21st century and at the same time transform the lives of 13 million orphans and 2,166 communities across the continent of Africa.

Ambassador Hope, a social entrepreneur and the world’s leading expert in technology-led, large scale social transformation programs has united stakeholders from all over the world to participate in the largest Public Private Partnership (PPP) focused on investing in the human assets of Africa to ensure Economic, Food and Energy Security for a whole generation of orphans.

The private sector is investing $55 billion over 4 years, and the US Government is providing a 13 month guarantee. The Program will create jobs for 22,000 veterans, volunteer opportunities to transfer technology for 22,000 students and contracts for American companies to provide cutting edge, green technologies.

Ambassador Hope asked for signing date by posting a video on YouTube. As a technologist she developed the Executive Order via Twitter to demonstrate the power of mobile technology to deliver simultaneous space/time events that transcend our current use of technology to bridge the digital divide.

Hope worked via Twitter to co-ordinate the signing with Rahm Emanuel, Chief of Staff; Macon Phillips, Social Media Director; and Ben Rhodes, speechwriter from the White House and Jack Dorsey, Founder of Twitter to co-create this historic use of technology to “Empower the Poor”.
