Gill's Notes::SUNLIGHT LIVE DOUBLE-HEADER ON CONGRESS AND WHITE HOUSE DEFICIT PLANS

Today, Sunlight Live will cover two major events in Washington dealing with the issues and politics surrounding plans for reducing the country’s deficit.

Beginning at 10:00 am, the Sunlight Foundation will cover a Senate Finance Committee hearing, titled “Perspectives on Deficit Reduction,” whose witnesses include a Heritage Foundation fellow, a former U.S. Comptroller General and an economist from Princeton. After a break for lunch, Sunlight Live will return to cover President Obama’s speech from the George Washington University on deficit reduction at 1:30 pm.

Sunlight Live combines streaming video, government transparency data and social media coverage, to provide insight to the proposals, people and policies mentioned during major events in Washington. Sunlight Live provides viewers with real-time context and analysis of current events, all from a single webpage.

Leading the Sunlight Live coverage will be investigative journalists from the Sunlight Reporting Group, along with guest bloggers. We invite all members of the press and public to join us today for Sunlight Live. You can watch the video stream and live blog at http://www.sunlightlive.com/.
